A Big Thank You!

Growing up I spent a great deal of time at Mr. & Mrs. M's house.  If my parents ever went on vacation, they took care of  me.  Mrs. M and my mom have been friends long before I was born.  Their kids, Kathy and Craig, would stay at our house when Mr. & Mrs. M would go out of town.  Craig is the only person I know that is now doing what he said he would do when he was little. I can remember him saying he wanted to make toys.  He would draw pictures of fascinating toys.  Now, he is a designer and makes toys.  So cool!  Anyway...when Craig was little someone made him a bunch of bean bags for all of his army guys, etc.  Fast forward to the present.  We now go to Colts games with Kathy and Michael (well, we try at least--I will try to be better next year, Kathy).  Craig and Diana had their son on the same day and at the same hospital where we had Bridget.  Our moms ran into each other--surprise!  What fun!  So Craig designed and had the sandbags made for his son and nephew.  The smallest amount they could make was 2000!  So Mr. and Mrs. M generously gave some to us and to my brother Steve.  Our kids just love them!  They stack them, play army guys with them, toss them, put them in dump trucks, play with them in their castles, and the most unexpected use thus far--they make perfect pillows for all of Kathryn's Polly Pockets.  Thank you so much, Mr. & Mrs. M for this great gift that is used in new ways daily!

Glad your kids are getting as much fun out of these as we did. I keep telling Craig he's missing a grand opportunity by not manufacturing these "sandbags" and selling them on Ebay. I found one in the washer last week and there was one jammed in Michael's shoe too. :) -Kathy
p.s. I keep telling my Mom I'll show her how to respond to your blog so look for a comment from her sometime soon.

They look like great fun. Maybe it is a missed opportunity, indeed!

OK, those bean bags look awesome. Can I buy them anywhere, like on Ebay or something? Is Craig selling them at all??? My kids would love those...
